{"id":4935,"date":"2012-04-07T05:30:10","date_gmt":"2012-04-06T19:30:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stawellgift.com\/?p=4935"},"modified":"2012-04-16T12:59:40","modified_gmt":"2012-04-16T02:59:40","slug":"melissa-breen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stawellgift.com\/wp\/2012\/04\/melissa-breen\/","title":{"rendered":"Winning weekend for Melissa Breen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Australian 100m champion <strong>Melissa Breen<\/strong> was winning on and off the track at the 2012 Australia Post Stawell Gift \u2013 not only did she win the\u00a0State of Victoria Strickland Family Women&#8217;s Gift 120m but she also took out the coveted Driscoll, McIllree &amp; Dickinson Fashions on the Field title on Easter Saturday too.<\/p>\n<p>The Fashions on the Field competition is one of the most hotly contested titles at Central Park over Easter, with $1000 on the line for the winner courtesy of Driscoll, McIllree &amp; Dickinson.<\/p>\n<p>Breen was talking up her chances ahead of the Easter weekend, and she certainly lived up to the hype, taking out the title in a stunning emerald and black ensemble.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the $1000 cash prize, Breen also received the Billie Jo Peterson memorial sash and a bottle of Kelly\u2019s Welcome Sparkling Pinot Chardonnay courtesy of Grampians Estate<strong><em>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ballarat\u2019s <strong>Kathryn O\u2019Dwyer <\/strong>was awarded second place and <strong>Samantha Sammut <\/strong>from Long Jetty was third.
